My Style: Red Hair, Don't Care

Today's Look:  is about enjoying crazy fun hair color without damaging your hair with chemicals.  I have been wanting to dye my hair for years, but I never quite bit the bullet--so I'm loving these reusable hair extensions by Crisace Professional Hair Enhancement Systems.  Last week, I went with the classic brown Remy human hair that matched my natural hair color perfectly.  Very happy with the results, I loved the look and feel.  This week I tried out the Rock Star iHair extension in Wine Red made from Fibre human hair that is hot tool friendly.  What do you think of the hair color?  In keeping with the rock star vibe, I wore distressed combat boots, shredded black skinny jeans, a cool graphic tee, a boyfriend denim jacket, a black tattoo choker, a beautiful ear cuff, mixed gold & silver bracelet, and numerous rings.  The graphic tee by VVAD3 (WE ARE DOP3) is thick, soft, and unisex--we can all wear the sweet designs and look cool.  The ear cuff by Emma Joy added just a little feminine bling with an edge. #awesome  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Sleek & Chic

Today's Look:  features the reinvention of the skort.  A skort, for those who are unfamiliar with the term, is a blend between a skirt and a pair of shorts.  Normally, either the skirt surrounds shorts or it's a skirt in the front, but shorts in the back, like the skort I'm wearing.  When I was growing up, I used to wear cotton skorts when playing tennis at a local club.  I loved skorts so I had multiple pairs because I loved how I was covered but they are more feminine than regular athletic shorts.  Nowadays, skorts have been updated and have become fashionable for everyday wear or for girls-nights-out with a geometric, asymmetrical trim.  To start the look off, I first chose the faux leather skort and shimmery, platform heels.  The heels are a beautiful iridescent turquoise, so to match them I wore my bright, lose-knit sweater.  Normally, the sweater is baggy and long, perfect for the fall or winter.  For this outfit, I wanted more chic, so I tucked it in and wore a black cami underneath.  Finishing off the look, I chose a black leather clutch, multi-metal necklace, turquoise crystal stud earrings, and two rings.

Outfit Details:  Platform Heels c/o Charlotte Russe , Sweater by Roxy at PacSun (Scottsdale, Arizona), Skort by Lovely Day at urbanog.com, Black Cami from American Eagle (Tucson, Arizona), Necklace from H&M (Tucson, Arizona), Earrings at Sally's Beauty Supply (Prescott, Arizona), Multicolored Ring at Dillard's (Prescott, Arizona), Clutch from Hobo International (Scottsdale, Arizona).

Fashion Tip:  The reinvented skort looks great with heels while lengthening the appearance of your legs.

My Style: Sail Away with Me

Today's Look:  is all about saying goodbye to warm summer days and nights.  Fall is officially here, so it's time for boots, scarfs, jackets, and beanies, but in honor of my favorite season, I wanted to post one of my last summer styles.  To start the look off, I chose white and faded-black striped, denim shorts.  The shorts feature lace embellishing on each leg that dress them up and slightly frayed ends that add edge.  Matching the off-white lace on the shorts, I wore an off-white, collared blouse that I tucked in only in the front to keep the outfit casual.  Next, to match the stripes of the short, I chose to wear my faded-black and off-white floral sneakers.  Finishing off the look, I wore a woven, taupe fedora with an off-white lace strip around the brim, a silver, heart pendant necklace, sparkly clutch, silver bangle, two rings, and fleur-de-lis studs.

Outfit Details:  Hat c/o Charlotte Russe , Bracelet by Brighton c/o Fancy That (Prescott, Arizona), Top from Express (Scottsdale, Arizona), Shorts by Lulu Mari at P.J. Chilcottage (Flagstaff, Arizona), Shoes by Roxy at Dillard's (Prescott, Arizona), Purse from Charming Charlies (Scottsdale, Arizona), Necklace from Earthbound Trading Co. (Flagstaff, Arizona), Earrings by Brighton at Fancy That, Stone Ring from Disney Vault 28 (Anaheim, California), Silver Ring from Aeropostale (Tucson, Arizona.)

Fashion Tip:  When wearing patterned and/or lace shorts, try to wear a simple, solid-color top to compliment rather than compete.

To hop on the fedora bandwagon, I included a variety below as well as their link.

My Style: Tigers & Camo

Today's Look:  has a safari jungle theme.  To showcase my favorite animal, I chose to wear my newest tiger shirt.  Since regular jean shorts would have been too tame,  I wore camouflage printed cut-off shorts.  The shorts went nicely with the tiger shirt, making the outfit a little more wild.  To create a border between the shirt and shorts, I wore a tan, embellished belt.  Matching the colors of the belt and shorts, I wore tan, gold/silver beaded sandals and a green purse.

Outfit Details:  Shirt and Shorts by Express at express.com, Sandals by Steve Madden at Dillard's (Prescott, AZ), Bag at World Market (Prescott, AZ), Belt by Roxy at PacSun (Scottsdale, AZ).

Fashion Tip:  This summer printed shorts are the new jean shorts.

My Style: A Cozy Sweater on a Chilly Day

Today's Look:  is all about the vibrant, teal sweater.  I am in love with this sweater. Not only is it comfy and warm, but I also got it on sale. Score!  Today was overcast and windy, so a sweater was needed, but since it's still spring time, I wore sandals with rolled-up skinny jeans. To show off the gorgeous color of the sweater, I darkened the rest of the outfit by wearing a black undershirt, grey jeans, teal earrings, and of course my favorite Betsey bag.

Outfit Details:  Sweater by Roxy at PacSun, Pants by Express, Sandals by Steve Madden, Bag by Betsey Johnson, Earrings by With Love From California at Pacsun.

Fashion Tip:  When wearing a baggy sweater or a loose fitting top, you should wear form fitting jeans.  Baggy pants with a baggy sweater is not attractive, nor is a loose top with bell bottoms.
