My Style: Moto Magic

A major plus to living in northern Arizona:  living 10 minutes away from paradises like this, Lynx Lake.   Although the temperatures are low this time of year, I always love sightseeing and exploring different photoshoot locations.  To stay warm, I styled this look with multiple layers, a high-low tank top, a soft sweater, and a light denim jacket.  My favorite part of the look is the moto pants.  After working hard, I decided to treat myself to an early Christmas present.  I have been searching online for the perfect pair and I found them for a great price with an excellent fit.  It was a risk but it worked out.  I love when that happens.  By the way, since I have been on winter break and catching up on some R&R, I have a few movie recommendations!  If any of you of looking for some romances, I definitely recommend In Your Eyes (instant watch on Netflix) and If I Stay (DVD for rent)!  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Blurred Lines

Today's Look:  is perfect for a fun girls' night out!  A rich royal blue crop-top paired with a printed chevron body-con skirt makes a stunning pair in this sexy ensemble.  When thinking of what to wear for a night out on the town, think chic and think bold.  For this outfit, I chose soft materials and unique prints.  The top features an interesting perforated texture while the skirt is a snug cotton - perfect for dancing the night away.  Accessorizing, I wore a beautiful black and gold necklace, stacked bracelets, numerous rings, and gold earrings.  And of course I couldn't leave the house without a bedazzled clutch and my cellphone looking fab in a "Sweet Pastel Aqua (Clip Case)"!  BTW, if you're on lookout for a new phone case or tech accessory, use the code "arizonagirl" to get 20% off any item from www.cliqueshops.com!  Hope you're all having a great week.  Mine is kind of crazy with finals, so I wasn't able to do a fashion sketch.  Luckily, summer is so close I can almost taste it!  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  For a girls' night out, be sure to wear soft materials that let your skin breath and are soft on your arms for when you're dancing and having a good time.  Nothing worse than sequins or beading rubbing you raw while you're trying to seem alluring!

Featured Fashionista: Bianca Lara "A Hint of Mint"

Today's Look:  is very special!  For some fashion fun, I teamed up with one of my favorite stores, Charlotte Russe, and one of my favorite fashionistas/soon-to-be-sister-in-law, Bianca Lara, to showcase some of CR's hottest heels.  Being a fashion blogger, I tend to pass on my passion for fashion to others, which I adore doing!  Charlotte Russe also loves to spread the joy of fashion, so we couldn't wait to send two pairs of killer heels Bianca's way, one multicolored animal print and one splatter paint. Bianca wore the fabulous platform pumps today, styling them to perfection.  Bianca also decided to pull out her essential item for spring, a mint-colored flowing top which complimented the shoes beautifully.  The pattern of the shoes is so colorful that she was inspired to style the leopard print heels with black, faux-leather leggings and tousled, ombré hair.  Adding sweet finishing touches, Bianca wore dark, pink lipstick (matching the pink in the shoes) and silver jewelry for some sparkle.  Be sure to keep an eye out for more posts featuring Bianca coming your way soon on Arizona Girl!  Xoxo

Bianca's Fashion Tip:  You can look great and feel comfortable.  Beauty doesn't always have to be painful. Like these leggings, they are sexy, chic, AND comfy.

My Style: Sophisticated Grunge

Today's Look:  is inspired by New York Fashion Week (NYFW) street style.  Even though I wasn't able to attend, I loved looking online over all runway fashion yes, but even more so, what the attendees were wearing.  NYFW goers definitely rocked the sophisticated grunge and I loved it!  To start the look off, I first chose the monochromatic maxi dress from Poof Apparel.  Poof Apparel is a clothing company for juniors that is sold at major stores such as Macy's, Wet Seal, Hot Topic, Arden B., Tilly's, and many more.  I was thrilled when Poof Apparel contacted me and sent me some of their trendiest pieces.  The dress is  made of a soft, opaque material featuring a beautiful, intricate design.  I styled the dress with a leather jacket and black platform boots.  Adding a touch of boho, I finished the look with a wide brim hat, stone ring, metal chain ring, black stud earrings, and multiple necklaces.

Outfit Details:  Dress courtesy of Poof Apparel , Jacket by Express at Express (Tucson, Arizona), Shoes by Grey City at nastygal.com, Hat at oasap.com, Layered Necklace by Lucky Brand at Dillard's (Presott, Arizona), Owl Necklace at P.J. Chilcottage (Flagstaff, Arizona), Earrings by Aéropostale from Aéropostale (Tucson, Arizona), White Stone Ring at nastygal.com, Two Piece Ring was a gift.

Fashion Tip:  Adding a leather jacket to a sweet maxi dress creates an edgy yet feminine look.

My Style: Clean Slate

Today's Look:  mirrors the fresh start and clean slate every new year brings.  For the first look of 2014, I decided bold and chic was the perfect way to show confidence and self-assurance.  To start the look off, I chose a black and white striped sweater and sleek, faux leather leggings.  Matching the leggings. . . what better way than to wear silver embellished, combat boots and a wool coat.  Finishing off the look, I chose silver sunglasses featuring a unique frame, two rings, a bedazzled clutch, and crystal stud earrings.

**  The year 2013 was truly a great one and major credit for that goes to my loyal readers and fellow fashionistas.  I would like to thank everyone who reads my blog, comments, and supports my passion for fashion.  Your kind words always make me smile!  And a special thank you to Ryan Chua and Charlotte Russe for collaborating with me.  I wish you all a very happy new year and I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store!  **

Fashion Tip:  New year equals new clothes.  Faux leather leggings are a major wardrobe must!
