My Style: Life's a Beach

Today's Look: highlights a beautiful graphic tee designed by Wildheart Los Angeles in partnership with Devolution Project.  Devolution Project enables artists/designers to submit their creations and start their own brand by providing production, marketing, sales and distribution services at a fraction of the costs usually associated with start-up clothing lines.  For example, Devolution Project allowed the artists of Wildheart Los Angeles to begin a private label graphic apparel line, which I think is so amazing!  The graphic tee from the brand features bright white daisies in the design of a peace sign.  My review of the top is 5 stars—awesome design, soft material, and great cut.  To go along with the perfect tank, I wore my absolute favorite black, cut-off shorts from Blush Boutique. Finishing off the look, I wore my new high top all black Converse, a layered necklace, black sunglasses, a colorful bracelet for a pop of color, and a few rings.  Hope you're all enjoying your summer and get a chance to make it to the beach.  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  Walking along the boardwalk or bike path, sneakers can be perfect.  But remember to bring a pair of sandals for the sand if you're planning on going closer to the ocean. :)

My Style: Babydoll Grunge

Today's Look:  was photographed during one of my most memorable photo shoots ever.  I am currently visiting my brother Billy in Los Angeles, California, and we always have such a blast working together.  Billy is a professional photographer and I always enjoy being his model to test out new techniques and bounce ideas off one another.  For this shoot, both of us were inspired by the babydoll plaid dress to try a more grunge/hipster approach and setting to the photos.  I styled the dress with one of my favorite pair of Steve Madden chunky buckle boots and, ironically, socks I was gifted from a past Valentine's Day and thought I'd never wear.  I love how the hearts and ruffles on the socks made the somewhat BA boots more feminine.  I accessorized with multiple necklaces, a couple of rings, my fav wide brimmed hat, and metal-lace rimmed sunglasses.

Outfit Details:  Dress by Audrey from Basement Marketplace | Boots by Steve Madden at 6pm.com | Hat from oasap.com | Layered Necklace by Lucky Brand from Dillard's | Clock Necklace from Urban Outfitters | Silver Ring from Forever 21 | Black Stone Ring from Maurices | Lipstick from Avon | Nails by Impress | Sunglasses by Style Vault from Amazon.com | Socks were a Valentine's Day gift

Fashion Tip:  Ruffled or girly socks worn with chunky black ankle boots create a stunning pair that stands out, elevating you to immediate trendsetter status.

My Style: Daisies & Lace

Today's Look:  features this darling babydoll dress with a daisy print.  With soft and flowing material, pretty three-quarter length sleeves, and a deep scoop neckline, this adorable dress is perfect for wearing to a brunch, a party, or a day out with your guy.  I matched up the dress with my favorite pair of lace-up sandals and cut-out metal lace-trimmed, circular-shaped sunglasses.   The dress can be purchased at a new store called Immediate Fashion Company that opened in Tucson, Arizona, near the University of Arizona, but anyone can shop the great deals at www.immediatefashioncompany.com.  This trendy boutique, located at 2000 East Broadway Boulevard in Tucson, has its flagship store based in San Diego, California, and features chic clothing for women and men.   As you know, I truly try to be objective with my product reviews and this dress gets a perfect score of 10 out of 10 from me!  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  Finding unique, protective, and fashionable sunglasses is a summer must!  I recommend little boutiques and online stores like Zero UV and Style Vault to find the perfect pair.

I wore the outfit to a summer-kickoff get-together with some close friends.  Here are some photos of decor and fun for inspiration.  :)

My Style: Orange Crush

Today's Look:  is still about Coachella dreamin’.   The headlines are stating that BeyoncĂ© and Gwen Stefani graced the stages at Coachella as a special surprise for attendees.  Well, if I can’t be there, at least I can still dress up and have fun like I'm at the music festival.  To begin, I chose a tribal patterned, swing crop top that matched my white-washed orange shorts.  Adding a little more of a 1970's feel, I wore woven stacked friendship bracelets and a crocheted purse. To stay protected from the sun, I wore a wide-brimmed hat and colorful, mirrored sunglasses featuring shades of orange and pink.  The gladiator sandals by Lucky Brand created a perfect last boho detail.  Obviously, I've been a little obsessed with Coachella and all the fashion trends that are created at the two weekend event--next year, I'm hoping to get a group together and go crazy :)  I better start saving up now...  Xoxo, Shelly
