My Style: Anchors Aweigh

Today's Look:  was taken on beautiful Santa Monica Beach in California.  I just spent three glorious weeks in Cali and visited Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach, Marina del Rey, Beverly Hills, and Universal Studios.  I highly recommend enjoying all that southern Cal has to offer.  Visiting these places, you get the beauty of Santa Monica, the craziness of Venice Beach, the sophistication of Marina del Rey, the ritz of 90210, and the thrills of Universal Studios.  For a warm day in Santa Monica, I started styling this outfit with a darling, dark blue, cinched-bow crop top.  I added a lace mini shirt and navy flips.  For accessories, I wore an anchor pendant to add a little seashore motif.  Man, I already miss the ocean and I’ve only been home one day!  Anyway, I hope you’re having a wonderful summer day! My Style: Life's a Beach

Today's Look: highlights a beautiful graphic tee designed by Wildheart Los Angeles in partnership with Devolution Project.  Devolution Project enables artists/designers to submit their creations and start their own brand by providing production, marketing, sales and distribution services at a fraction of the costs usually associated with start-up clothing lines.  For example, Devolution Project allowed the artists of Wildheart Los Angeles to begin a private label graphic apparel line, which I think is so amazing!  The graphic tee from the brand features bright white daisies in the design of a peace sign.  My review of the top is 5 stars—awesome design, soft material, and great cut.  To go along with the perfect tank, I wore my absolute favorite black, cut-off shorts from Blush Boutique. Finishing off the look, I wore my new high top all black Converse, a layered necklace, black sunglasses, a colorful bracelet for a pop of color, and a few rings.  Hope you're all enjoying your summer and get a chance to make it to the beach.  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  Walking along the boardwalk or bike path, sneakers can be perfect.  But remember to bring a pair of sandals for the sand if you're planning on going closer to the ocean. :)

My Style: Sippin' on Sunshine

Today's Look:  celebrates the upcoming season of spring!  Although spring does not officially start till March, the weather was perfect while I was visiting Santa Monica, California.  The sun was shining, the water was cool, and the sand was warm.  For a relaxing walk along the beach and then a lunch date, I wanted to look glamorous and be comfortable--never know whom you might see in L.A, right?  First, I chose the colorful, bodycon dress and long, cream cardigan.  I love this dress from Charlotte Russe, and I was excited to get to wear it!  In Arizona, it's still chilly, so I knew I had to bring it on this trip.  The tribal print is festive and rich while the black columns on the sides make the dress flattering (which is rare for such a form-fitting piece).  To match the dress, I wore a beautiful black and gold jeweled necklace and gold stud earrings.  Finishing off the look, I chose black, strappy heels, two gold rings, and a gold, beaded bracelet.
