My Style: "O" My Gosh

Today's Look: highlights The Home T's new tee design, which has the silhouette of the state of your choice inside the "o" of the graphic printed "home". The Home T was designed for two purposes—to show home-state pride and to donate to multiple sclerosis research. I'm proud to wear a t-shirt showing my Arizona state pride but I'm even happier to know that a portion of all profits goes to finding a cure for MS. To see my other Home T collaboration post click here. To add edginess to this particular styling, I found this amazing ombré leather jacket. As you probably already know, burgundy and black are my favorite duo; with the jacket, it was love at first sight. Adding a warm beanie, black skinny jeans, and my fav chunky ankle boots, I felt just a few rings and my black cutout lace sunglasses made the outfit ready to kick it downtown. Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls

Today’s Look: was photographed in front of an 80 foot waterfall that is part of a nature trail at the luxurious Loew’s Ventanna Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Every summer my family and I enjoy staying here and experiencing all that Tucson has to offer. From delicious food at local restaurants to glamorous scenery and fabulous shopping, it's a trip I always enjoy. This year was also special because I visited one of my favorite stores that just opened a location in Tucson, Immediate Fashion Company. I took pictures of the visit and definitely scored some amazing goodies that I can't wait to share! This crop-top is from Immediate and was the starting piece of today's look. I love the vibrant sunflower print and cut of the top; so to complement the focal point, I paired the top with a simple black skater skirt and pair of black platform booties. Accessorizing, I chose a thick, gold chain necklace and cut-out metal lace rimmed sunglasses in gold amber. To bring out more of the browns in the sunflowers, I chose a fun phone case in brown with tan polka dots. To top it off, these photos were taken in between monsoon rain showers in 106 degree weather—soooooo I apologize if I look a little wrecked. Beauty Tip: On a humid, hot day, a side braid is the perfect solution to unruly hair. Also, for monsoon season here in AZ, it's a must!

My Style: Daisies & Lace

Today's Look: features this darling babydoll dress with a daisy print. With soft and flowing material, pretty three-quarter length sleeves, and a deep scoop neckline, this adorable dress is perfect for wearing to a brunch, a party, or a day out with your guy. I matched up the dress with my favorite pair of lace-up sandals and cut-out metal lace-trimmed, circular-shaped sunglasses. This trendy boutique, located at 2000 East Broadway Boulevard in Tucson, has its flagship store based in San Diego, California, and features chic clothing for women and men. Fashion Tip: Finding unique, protective, and fashionable sunglasses is a summer must! I recommend little boutiques and online stores like Zero UV and Style Vault to find the perfect pair.
