My Style: N°1 Love

Staying warm on a snowy day, while being essential, can be enjoyable.  For this look, I teamed up with The Classic Brand, a brand I have loved for years and shopped at local boutiques but they now have their own online store!  I have to recommend checking out their site, theclassicbrand.com.  Their clothes are great quality and so adorable.  To achieve a winter chic look, I recommend layers like this sequined sweater and trendy fur vest.  Also, a warm beanie and comfortable boots are a must. My Style: Lacy LBD & White Denim

Today's Look:  shows one of the reasons the MVP in a girl’s closet is the little black dress.  The LBD’s capacity for reinvention is limitless.  Personally, I love this dress because of its unique lace inserts around the waist and on the back.  The effect adds a tad of sexiness while maintaining modesty.  I decided to style the dress with Converse sneakers for a casual, comfortable afternoon of shopping.  Plus, I love how the sneakers add a little tomboy touch.  I also wore a white, shredded denim vest and my favorite clear clutch.   Along with a silver cuff bracelet and rings, I accessorized with some Charlotte Russe sunglasses that feature a beautiful floral engraved design.  When you put together three of your favorite closet pieces, for me it’s the LBD, the white vest, and the white sneakers, you can’t go wrong.  Enjoy transforming your favorite little black dress.  Let me know how you like to dress it up or down.  To purchase the exact dress featured in this post, you can find it here:  http://goo.gl/TBRGRL.  Use code "coupon15" to get 15% off your purchase from martofchina.com :) Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  The LBD can be transformed by color accents in jewelry, shoes, and bags.  You can add leather jackets, boyfriend sweaters, vests, or plaid shirts for layered looks.  You can add statement jewelry and faux fur items for dressy nights out.  You can add flats for brunch or shopping.  The possibilities are endless!  The LBD will be one of the most versatile items you ever own.   

  

My Style: Cut-Out Ankle Boots

Today's Look:  is all about the black, short overalls and cut-out, ankle boots.  To start the look off, I first chose my Guess denim overalls.  Since the overalls are high-waisted, I chose to wear a crop-top underneath.  I wanted the shirt to add excitement and sass to the outfit, but also wanted the shirt to match the black denim;  I chose my leopard print crop-top.  Since overalls are sometimes considered kiddish, I chose my buckle-embellished, black leather, and cut-out ankle boots to add some edge to the ensemble.  Finishing off the look, I chose my Coach side-sling purse, sparkly, silver bracelet, three rings, and skull, crystal earrings.

Fashion Tip:  Overalls are back!  When wearing long overalls, roll up the ends to add a boyfriend-pants vibe;  when wearing short overalls, make sure to pick the undershirt carefully.  The undershirt and accessories chosen to accompany the overalls can make or break the outfit.
