My Style: Flare for Adventure

Slipping into a pair of comfy bells for an afternoon of relaxation is one of the best feelings ever.  I love this look which I styled for the Other's Follow x Puravida Bracelets Summer 2015 InstaLookbook (https://instagram.com/of_clothing/).  To the tribal print flare pants, I added a soft, cream top with crocheted fringe, beautiful festival inspired jewelry, a fringe purse, and the best sandals. For a bohemian inspired look, I recommend combining a choker with a long pendant necklace--see below how well the two pieces compliment one another.  Besides thinking about fashion, I hope you are taking time for yourself, whether it's reading a good book (or Teen Vogue) underneath a shady tree or enjoying a luxurious bubble bath.  Happy Thursday!  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Ivory & Denim

Old, abandoned train tracks and bridges can make interesting settings for a photo shoot.  While exploring some historic sites, I wore a denim-on-denim look.  I hope the shredded denim look never goes out of style--I truly love the relaxed chicness of distressed material.  To the denim blues, I added a lovely ivory lace top and a handsome ivory purse.   Finishing the look, I added an assortment of rings, ombré sunglasses, and stunning Coach sandals in gunmetal grey.  Hope you like this outfit and, as always, I wish you the best day! Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Minty Fresh

I was very excited when Coach reached out to me, asking me to create an outfit with this beautiful purse and incorporate it into my personal style.  First, I added this pretty mint green, off-the-shoulder dress with crocheted lace trim.  Next, I added the amazing beaded sandals and wanted to draw in another color with the incredible dupioni silk knot headband.  Notice how the colors are iridescent, changing from light orange to deep orange as the light changes.  Lastly, I added more bohemian accents with the moon and crystal pendant necklace, two lovely rings, and stacked bracelets that bring everything together.  Hope you're having a great week.  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Cut-Out Ankle Boots

Today's Look:  is all about the black, short overalls and cut-out, ankle boots.  To start the look off, I first chose my Guess denim overalls.  Since the overalls are high-waisted, I chose to wear a crop-top underneath.  I wanted the shirt to add excitement and sass to the outfit, but also wanted the shirt to match the black denim;  I chose my leopard print crop-top.  Since overalls are sometimes considered kiddish, I chose my buckle-embellished, black leather, and cut-out ankle boots to add some edge to the ensemble.  Finishing off the look, I chose my Coach side-sling purse, sparkly, silver bracelet, three rings, and skull, crystal earrings.

Outfit Details:  Overalls by Guess at guess.com, Top from Forever 21 (Tucson, Arizona), Purse by Coach at Dillard's (Prescott, Arizona), Boots by Steven Madden at 6pm.com, Earrings by Wet Seal at Blink (Anaheim, California), Rings from Aeropostale (Tucson, Arizona), Bracelet from Charming Charlie's (Tucson, Arizona.)

Fashion Tip:  Overalls are back!  When wearing long overalls, roll up the ends to add a boyfriend-pants vibe;  when wearing short overalls, make sure to pick the undershirt carefully.  The undershirt and accessories chosen to accompany the overalls can make or break the outfit.

Love ankle boots?  Below, I included a collage with an assortment of cut-out ankle boots.
