ThirdLove Lingerie Review

Whether you're a newlywed or a single lady, it's always nice to feel confident and a little sexy.  A lacy set of lingerie that fits perfectly sure does the trick.  I collaborated with the lingerie company ThirdLove (ThirdLove.com) to review a bra and panty this past month.  Although I don't have a special someone in my life, I was excited to try the lingerie for myself.  Like I said before, it's nice to feel your best.  I was blown away when my package arrived.  I have never owned such luxurious, beautiful lingerie.  I feel like I am wearing French, expensive lingerie, but what's so great about ThirdLove is it's affordable, quality, and comfortable.

A unique positive about the brand is their bras come in half cup sizes.  I have never seen that before.  You can mix and match cute bras and panties together.  Many options are available on the site from simple and wireless to lacy and intricate.  Personally, I love having a wide selection, so I enjoyed looking through all they have to offer on their website.

Now for the fit of the lingerie, I am very pleased with both the bra and panty.  The bra is surprisingly comfortable.  I went with my normal size and it fits perfectly.  I normally wear simple bralettes for comfort and convenience, but I can totally see myself opting to wear this cute lacy bra all day instead.  The panties are skimpier than I am used to in the front, but they cover everything just fine.  It's definitely a bikini fit and the back coverage is flattering.

All in all, I am very happy with my ThirdLove pieces.  I definitely recommend them to any woman looking for pretty lingerie for a special occasion like Valentine's Day, an anniversary, or a honeymoon or just the perfect everyday set of underwear.  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Puppy Love

New puppy

Today's Look:  combines different patterns and textures to create a casual-yet-chic look.  One of my favorite new pieces in my closet is this pretty lace and geometric print romper from JYJZ.  I paired the jumpsuit with these amazing ankle boots from Skechers (another beloved addition to my closet)—notice the basket weave detailing and stacked wooden heels—and an irresistible knit fedora hat from Urban Outfitters.  Lastly, I put on my shredded, over-sized denim jacket from Zara.  Now, you may have noticed I had a special guest make an appearance during this photo shoot.  Everyone, meet Eddie, my new puppy!  If you are a fan of the TV show Frasier, you can appreciate where Eddie got his name (even though he’s a Rat Terrier and not a Jack Russel Terrier—I say close enough.)  He is cute and rambunctious.  Let’s just say…sleeping is a thing of the past and so are clean floors.  haha Have a great day and let me know your tips on how to train a new puppy!  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Lace and Bamboo

Today's Look:  was taken in front of a patch of bamboo I discovered at the end of a small, charming street in my hometown.  Bamboo is known to bend and not break in the worst of weather, and it’s compared to a person’s character and essence withstanding the storms of life.  Some believe bamboo brings luck or signifies keeping true to yourself (fitting for the start of a new school year).  I felt the setting was perfect for an outfit that was both innocent and sexy, conservative and edgy.  For my styling, I like to stay true to myself, staying feminine but having a bit of toughness or touch of quirkiness.  This pretty lace bustier dress combined with a soft, knitted sweater and black cut out boots with funky socks are a perfect combination of sweet, fun, and sexy.  Hope you enjoy this outfit as much as I enjoyed styling it.  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: To Dye For

Today's Look: emphasizes the charm and empowerment of bohemian beauty.  I paired a lace crop top with a tie-dye, double-slit maxi skirt and accessorized with a cool choker necklace coupled with a crystal pendant necklace.  The To Dye For Maxi Skirt from Broke Girl Style is made out of a very soft material, but has a more hip-hugging fit than I expected, so if you are looking for a less snug fit, I suggest going a size up.  I got a small and, as you may have figured out already, I'm fine with tight clothes, so I'm very pleased with mine. haha  Finishing the look, I wore an amazing black sweater shrug, and delicate, pretty ankle-crossed strap flats.  I rarely wear flats, (because I normally opt for something with a little height or for killer boots) but I have to say I adore this pair from Charlotte Russe.  Anyway, I hope that today you find a little magic in what you do.  The luxury of being comfortable while you feel feminine is the magic that makes the bohemian style so popular.  Have a beautiful day!

My Style: Lace is More (Giveaway Opportunity!!!)

Today's Look:  is all about lace!  This season, lace in white, lace in pastels, and, of course, lace in black are a few of the hottest trends.  I adore this crocheted lace skirt from 9th & Elm, designed by Sugar Lips.  Quality and beauty—my favorite pairing!  Also, the skirt arrived quickly and wrapped nicely, so I was very impressed by 9th & Elm.  For the styling, I added an incredible, striped black and white crop from Nordstrom, complete with stitched daisies on the back, along with Steve Madden white platform sandals.  As you can tell from my sassy expressions, this pretty outfit gave me confidence and loads of attitude.  And for my lovely readers, 9th & Elm is offering five--I repeat 5--$100 gift cards as a generous giveaway.  Please enter below to win one of the $100 gift cards before the contest ends on July 8th.  I wish for you a beautiful week and I hope your summer is fantastic! Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  I have been searching for oversized sunglasses with the scrolled side detailing.  When I was vacationing in California recently, I finally found a pair I liked at a small shop in Venice Beach.  Adding interesting detail through a pair of sunnies is a great way to show you have style.

As mentioned above, I have an exciting giveaway opportunity for you all in which 9th & Elm (handmade and independent designs) is awarding five $100 gift cards to use on their website!  Anyone can enter through the widget below.  Contest ends July 8th.  Feel free to read more details here: http://9thelm.com/blog/500-giveaway/.
