My Style: Red Rocks

Today's Look:  combines edgy leopard-print creepers with a charming burgundy lace dress.  The feminine cut contrasted with the funky shoes and sexy, sheer tights.  The temperature outside was cool, so I threw on a boyfriend sweater for warmth and comfort.  I was inspired by Minh Nguyen of Freshminhtea to create some art; it felt great to pick up ink and watercolors again.  I've been so into the graphic design world that it was nice to come back to sketching.

Outfit Details:  Dress courtesy of Poof! Apparel , Purse & Earrings courtesy of Charlotte Russe , Sweater by Express at express.com, Creepers by Wild Diva at urbanog.com, Tights by HUE at Dillard's, Headband at Claire's, Gold Ring from Premiere Designs.

Fashion Tip:   Lace dresses are very versatile and a wardrobe essential.   They can be dressed up for an evening out on the town or dressed down for everyday casual.

While enjoying Sedona's scenic view, I had to take a cheesy tourist photo.  ;)

My family and I enjoyed experiencing all Sedona has to offer.  We saw the gorgeous red rocks, loved shopping at Earthbound Trading Co., and enjoyed delicious food.

Along with great shops, Sedona has excellent restaurants!  I can verify that Taos Cantina serves dream-worthy chicken fajitas and bottomless homemade chips and salsa.  We discovered Taos Cantina by asking local retail vendors which restaurant they recommended for great Mexican food and 2 out of 3 recommended it as their first choice.

If you're in the Sedona area and craving Mexican food, the restaurant is located on the main strip of uptown Sedona and has outdoor eating under bright umbrellas as well as inside seating with views of the red rocks.

After dinner, my family and I made our way to find dessert.  We enjoyed a tasty, decadent brownie sundae at Sabrina’s Gourmet Ice Cream located in the Sedona Center, Canyon Breeze Restaurant.  Best brownie sundae—hint to the wise, one sundae can delight 3-4 people easily.  Definitely recommend the place!

My Style: Aztec Cut-Out Dress

Today's Look:  is all about the light purple, Aztec-inspired dress.  The dress is covered in an intricate design and includes cut-outs on the back.  To start the look off, I chose to compliment the black detailing on the dress by wearing my black, studded creeper shoes and backpack.  Next, to continue adding edge to a sweet, summer dress, I chose to accessorize with my black, spiked headband and bracelet, along with skull earrings..  Finishing off the look,  I chose to finish with a dash of charm by adding a heart pendant necklace, three rings, and a silver, bedazzled watch.

Outfit Details:  Dress courtesy of Charlotte Russe  ❤,  Shoes by Wild Diva at urbanog.com, Backpack by Pink at Victoria's Secret (Prescott, Arizona), Headband from Claire's (Tucson, Arizona),  Necklace from Forever 21 (Scottsdale, Arizona), Watch from Charming Charlie's (Tucson, Arizona), Rings from Aeropostale (Tucson, Arizona), Earrings by Wet Seal at Blink (Anaheim, California).

Fashion Tip:  When wearing an Aztec-inspired dress, rather than wearing other patterns within the outfit and causing congestion, accessorize the outfit with solid colors that accentuate the dress.

Below, I included a selection of Aztec-inspired dresses and accessories.

My Style: Holy Chic

Today's Look:  is all about the creeper shoes.  Creeper shoes have been appearing more and more on celebrities, bloggers, and in stores.  To start the look off, I chose my "Holy Chic" tank top and high-waisted, denim cut-offs.  Since I normally wear black socks with my creepers, I thought I would change it up by wearing sheer black tights. To match the black suede shoes, I wore a black fringed purse.  Finishing off the look, I wore a metallic bracelet, round sunglasses, two rings, and dangle cross earrings.

Outfit Details:  Top at Forever 21 (Tucson, Arizona),  Shorts by Good Time at urbanog.com, Sunglasses at urbanog.com, Purse by American Eagle at ae.com, Shoes by Wild Diva at urbanog.com, Earrings and Big Ring at Buckle (Prescott, Arizona.)

Fashion Tip:  When wearing black creepers,  I personally like to wear black ankle socks or black tights, but I have also seen high black socks pulled off very nicely.  Below, I included a variety of creepers and a link to get to them.  Let me know what you think by clicking on the comments button at the bottom of the post :)

My Style: Denim Cut-Out Dress

Today's Look:  is all about the ever growing popularity of the denim cut-out dress.  To start the look off, I chose to be a little daring and wear my skin-baring denim dress.  I chose this denim dress, as opposed to many others, because it's unique with its three cut-outs in the front, two in the back, and metal detailing.  Since the dress is edgy, I chose to wear my studded, black creepers and black ankle socks. To Pull in the chunky black shoes with a short dress, I wore my black wide brim hat and fringed suede purse.  Finishing off the look, I wore two rings, a bracelet, and diamond skull earrings.

Outfit Details:  Dress by Mustard Seed at urbanog.com, Shoes by Wild Diva at urbanog.com, Purse by American Eagle at ae.com, Hat by Hengshu at oasap.com, Earrings by Wet Seal at Blink (Anaheim, California), Stone Ring at Disney Vault 28 (Anaheim, California), Bracelet was a gift.

Fashion Tip:  Denim dresses are a hit this summer, as well as cut-out dresses.  A denim dress with cut-outs is golden.  I included some denim cut-out dress options below with their links.

My Style: Black Polka Dots

Today's Look:  emphasizes the beaded collar and black polka-dotted top.  The light peach color blouse stands out amongst the dark pieces of the outfit.  Since the shirt is classy and collared, I wore high-waisted tailored black shorts instead of cut-off denim short.  To match the black polka-dots on the top, I wore a black fringe purse, black creepers with black ankle socks, and dark lensed, bedazzled aviators.

Outfit Details:  Shirt by Audrey 3+1, Shorts by Kimchi Blue at Urban Outfitters (Scottsdale, Arizona), Shoes by Wild Diva at urbanog.com, Purse by American Eagle at ae.com, Earrings by Forever 21 (Scottsdale, Arizona).

Fashion Tip:  When wearing a shirt with a beaded collar, do not wear a necklace.  The collar on the shirt is the necklace.

My Style: Graphic Tee & Creepers

Today's Look:  is all about the graphic tee which features an abstract design of geometric shapes, metallic detailing, and a female's face.  To start the outfit off, I chose my white t-shirt, blue skinny jeans, and black creeper shoes.  Since the shirt has the color mint within its design, I wore a silver and mint clip bracelet.  Finishing off the look, I wore black round framed sunglasses, suede fringed purse, and a leather jacket.

Outfit Details:  Shirt, Jeggings, & Leather Jacket at Express (Scottsdale, Arizona), Shoes by Wild Diva at urbanog.com, Sunglasses at urbanog.com,  Purse by American Eagle at ae.com, Bracelet at Kohl's (Prescott, Arizona).

Fashion Tip:  Black round framed sunglasses are a staple for any wardrobe.

My Style: Jeepers Creepers

Today's Look:  is all about my first pair of creepers.  Creepers are a type of shoe that are usually with suede upper and thick crepe soles.  They originated a few years after World War II when soldiers were based in North Africa.  Due to the surrounding climate and environment, soldiers wore suede boots with durable crepe rubber soles.  After leaving the army, many soldiers found their way to busy London with its popular night scene, bringing their funky shoes along with them.  Since then, the creeper shoes have become more of a fashion statement than a worker's shoe.  To start the outfit off, I chose my leopard print shirt that has a black jeweled anchor on the front, high-waisted jean shorts, and my creepers.  Since the shoes are black, I chose my black fringed purse and round sunglasses to finish the look.

Outfit Details:  Shoes by Wild Diva Lounge at urbanog.com, Shirt by The Clas-sic at Black Hound Gallerie (Flagstaff, Arizona), Shorts by ChiQle at urbanog.com, Purse by American Eagle at ae.com, Sunglasses at urbanog.com.

Fashion Tip:  If you haven't heard of creeper shoes, definitely check them out!  They are a current trend, super comfortable, and very fashionable.
