Runway Fashion: Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter

Cara closing the Chanel Show
Since I am on Spring Break, I was excited to have the time to cover Paris Fashion Week!  Huge fashion houses such as Chanel, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, Christian Dior, and Louis Vuitton all premiered their fall/winter lines.  From sleek, hand-tailored suits to sparkly, dream-worthy gowns, I had a difficult time narrowing down the video selections, so I included as many as I could.  In some of the videos, you can catch glimpses of famous celebrities in the front row, like musicians Kanye West and Rihanna, as well as Vogue editors from around the world.  Kendall Jenner made an appearance in the Chanel show AND of course you can spot my favorite supermodel Cara Delevingne working the runway in multiple shows!  Xoxo

Runway Fashion: Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter

Cara leading the Fendi show
This year I have been so busy with graphic designing and school that I couldn't keep up with NYFW, but luckily I have been able to enjoy some of the Milan Fashion Week.  Milan's elite designers and fashion houses, including Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Moschino, and Cavalli, have all been showing off their best lines for Fall/Winter 2014/2015 this past week.  Jaw dropping pieces and stunning couture all graced the runway.  Below, I have included videos from the most buzzed about shows.  If you don't have time to watch them all, be sure to at least watch Moschino to enjoy the playfulness, Cavalli to experience the amazing runway, and my personal favorite BluGirl to see the beautiful femininity.  Let me know which one caught your eye!

On Wednesday night, November 13, 2013, in New York, Victoria's Secret held its annul fashion show that once again brought guests to their feet for standing ovations.  Not only did they have sexy, dazzling designs, top models, and killer heels, but they also had live performances from chart-toppers including Fall Out Boy, A Great Big World, Neon Jungle, and the stellar Miss Taylor Swift.  Everyone who's anyone was in attendance for the show of the season.  For the general public, the show will air on December 10th on CBS.  Below, I have included previews of the new lingerie lines and sleepwear, but be sure to tune in on 12/10 to see the complete show.

My Style: My Chick Bad

Today's Look:  channels influences from street-style casual and hip-hop edge.  For this look, I wanted something tough but feminine.  First, I chose the varsity jacket.  What I love about this jacket is the body is dark denim, while the sleeves are black sweatshirt material.  Since the jacket's collar and cuffs are striped black and white, I decided to style the rest of the outfit accordingly. Next, I chose a white crop-top featuring a yin-yang symbol and high-waisted denim shorts.  To add attitude, I wore a black trucker hat that says "Shell Ya" and bedazzled aviators.  Finishing off the look, I chose a white studded backpack, white Keds, black studs, three rings, and a black-jeweled bracelet.

Outfit Details:   Jacket c/o Charlotte Russe , Shorts by Good Time at urbanog.com, Crop-Top by Nollie at PacSun (Tucson, Arizona), Shoes by Keds at Dillard's (Presscott, Arizona), Backpack from riverisland.comHat by Billabong at Tilly's (Tucson, Arizona), Sunglasses at Foot Fetish (Prescott, Arizona), Rings and Earrings from Aeropostale (Tucson, Arizona), Bracelet was a gift.

Fashion Tip:  Varsity jackets are great for adding a sporty edge to an outfit.

Style Crush Saturday: Cara Delevingne

Style Crush:  Cara Delevingne
Known For:  Modeling, Acting
Style:  Chic, Layered, Tomboyish

This week's Style Crush is the crazy and beautiful Cara Delevingne.  Cara is an English fashion model who is known for her beauty, quirky personality, and thick, dark eyebrows.  Modeling since her early teen years, Cara has been the face of many major labels such as Burberry, H&M, DKNY, and Chanel.  In addition to being the face of many brands and their campaigns, Cara has also appeared on runways for brands including Jason Wu, Stella McCartney, Oscar de la Rente, Moschino, Burberry, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, and Victoria's Secret.  At age 20, having made a huge impact on the fashion world as we know it, Cara was named Model of the Year at the 2012 British Fashion Awards.

Although Cara is known for modeling in glamorous, beaded, frilly, and intricate pieces of art, her own personal street style is much more casual.  Close friends to the model have joked about how on her off days Cara can most likely be found at her home either practicing on her drum set or messing around on X-Box.  Her tomboyish, quirky, crazy, and outgoing personality definitely influences her flawless style.  Cara loves wearing t-shirts sporting funny quotes, colorful baggy beanies, and distressed combat boots.  Whether she is working the runway, gracing the pages of Vogue, or chilling in her hometown of London, Cara's presence is unforgettable.
