My Style: Garden Party

Today's Look:  is for a garden bridal shower that I will be attending.  A springtime bridal shower screams for floral prints, pastel colors, and feminine lace.  When styling this outfit, the first thing that caught my eye was the top.  I adore this Charlotte Russe floral-printed, sheer-chiffon top with a scoop neckline and cuffed dolman sleeves.  Pairing this gorgeous blouse with lace shorts, I felt these pumps rocked it perfectly.  Jewelry included peach and gold dangling earrings and an array of rings.  I'd like to know what you wore to your last bridal shower--leave a comment if you have time and share your outfit deets!

Outfit Details:  Top & Embellished Ring courtesy of Charlotte Russe ❤ | Shorts by Sparkle and Fade from Urban Outfitters | Heels by Sam Edelman from Nordstrom | Crystal Band from Premier Designs | Gold Rings from Forever 21 | Earrings were a gift | Nails by Impress

Fashion Tip:  For garden parties, often times the venue and activities are set up on grass.  With this in mind, be sure to wear appropriate, comfortable shoes.  I know the party I'm attending will have a nice deck and concrete walkways, so short heels are doable and fitting for the occasion.

With so much inspiration on the web, I went through and picked out my favorite photos of garden bridal showers that stood out to me and inspired the look!  Enjoy :)

Favorite Summer Trend: Rompers

Now that summer vacation has started and the weather is heating up, I can't help but NOT miss winter AT ALL.  I am so ready for blue skies, sunny days, and beach trips (to CA)!  Also, I am so ready to rock flip-flops, sunglasses, and, most of all, rompers!  This summer I am totally obsessed with rompers.  With a comfy fit, bright prints, and feminine vibe, how can anyone not love them?!  Below, I attached some of my favorites from CharlotteRusse.com.  Which one is your fave?  Honestly, I can't decide!  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Floral Corset

Today's Look:  is all about the sweet, lace up, floral corset top.  To start the look off, I chose the pink flowered corset top and burgundy shorts to bring out the burgundy in the top's design.  Since the corset is spaghetti strapped, I wore a light, cream colored cardigan that matched with the top's chiffon ruffles.  Matching the colors in the shirt and shorts, I wore multicolored, jeweled sandals and earrings to make the outfit pop.  Finishing off the look, I wore a jeweled bracelet, hippie bag, and two rings.

Outfit Details:  Corset Top by Zinga at Basement Market Place (Flagstaff, Arizona), Shorts by Bullhead Black at PacSun (Scottsdale, Arizona), Cardigan by Mossimo at Target (Prescott, Arizona), Sandals by Steve Madden at Dillard's (Prescott, Arizona), Earrings by Charming Charlie's (Scottsdale, Arizona), Purse by Rising International at a beach shop (San Diego, California).

Fashion Tip:   When wearing a corset top, go for the sweet look rather than one with a dominatrix vibe.  A corset top is already edgy and sexy enough; therefore, try to cutesy up the top for a more feminine, innocent look.

My Style: Neon Pastel Romper

Today's Look:  emphasizes the femininity of pink, flowers, and a short romper.   The romper is covered in flowers of pink, purple, red, along with splotches of green as if they were leaves.  The floral print gives an almost splatter paint/ impressionistic portrait. The design is quite breathtaking.  Since the romper is spaghetti strapped, I wore my light denim vest to add coverage as well as layering.  To match the peachy-pink color in the romper, I wore a beaded necklace.  Finishing off the look, I wore sparkly diamond earrings and silver sandals.

Outfit Details:  Romper by Poetry at Basement Marketplace (Flagstaff, Arizona), Denim Vest by Yes! Miss at Charlotte Russe (Scottsdale, Arizona), Necklace at Basement Marketplace, Sandals by Montego Bay Club at Payless (Prescott, Arizona).

Fashion Tip:  Rompers can often be sexy since they are short and sleeveless, so adding a denim vest or cardigan, not only adds layering to the outfit but also makes the romper sweeter.

My Style: Happy Mother's Day

Today's Look:  is all about the dress.  Since it was Mother's Day, my family had reservations at a local resort for a special brunch.  The brunch was semi-formal so a dress was appropriate.  The dress has a cutout floral design on a mustard material that contrasted perfectly with the bright turquoise purse, belt, and earrings.  To keep the outfit dressy, I wore tights and nude pumps.  If the brunch had been formal, I would have worn my hair up, but since it wasn't, I wore my hair down and straightened.

Outfit Details:  Dress by Monteau Los Angeles at P.J. Chilcottage (Flagstaff, Arizona), Shoes by Jessica Simpson at Dillard's (Prescott, Arizona), Purse by Nila Anthony at Clothes Hound (Prescott, Arizona), Belt and Earrings at P.J. Chilcottage.

Fashion Tip:  Retro chic is the latest trend, so have fun dressing feminine and classy this summer.
