Style:  Vintage, Conservative, Girly

This week's Style Crush is the quirky Zooey Deschanel.  Zooey was born in LA into a showbiz family with her father being an Academy Award Nominated cinematographer and her mother and older sister being actresses.  Zooey knew she wanted to be an actress at a very young age and had a strong drive to achieve success.  At the age of 17, Zooey had her first big role on the sitcom "Veronica's Closet" and her first film role the following year.  By hard work and true talent, Zooey, now 33, has steadily gained recognition in the film industry as well as admiration as a musician.   Her older sister, Emily Deschanel, has also been very successful in the business being the star on the popular TV show Bones as the infamous Dr. Brennan.  Girl power!  Today, Zooey stars on her own TV show as the dorky-yet-lovable Jess Day on FOX's hit comedy New Girl.  In addition to her hit TV show, Zooey has starred in numerous blockbusters including Elf with Will Ferrell, Yes Man with Jim Carrey, (500) Days of Summer with Joseph Gordan-Levitt, and The Happening with Mark Wahlberg.

Well known for her deadpan-comedy style, big blue eyes, and dark, blunt bangs, it's no doubt Zooey is adorable.  If all that isn't enough, Zooey also has a memorable fashion style.  Wearing feminine dresses, conservative nylons, and colorful prints has created a unique style that has a vintage flare with a modern twist.  On her TV show, her character's wardrobe reflects her own personal style in an exaggerated way with thick framed glasses and funky pieces put together, but the outfits always have a touch of Zooey. The ensembles are never dull or predictable.  Her style reflects a youthful glow with a mature finish.  Whether Zooey is making us laugh or stunning us with her cuteness, she is a joy to watch on television and on the red carpet.

Style Crush Saturday: Jennifer Lawrence

Style Crush:  Jennifer Lawrence
Known For:  Acting, Modeling
Style:  Sophisticated, Sexy, Modern

This week's Style Crush is the radiant Jennifer Lawrence.  Jennifer is best known for her starring role as Katniss Everdeen in the movie adaptions of the literary hit series The Hunger Games.  Jennifer (age 23) was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, alongside her two older brothers.  Jennifer first began modeling when she was younger, but felt no passion for it; at the age of 14, she talked her parents into letting her hunt for an agent during a summer in New York City.  After multiple positive reviews with connections made, Jennifer scored some commercials and minor film roles, but it wasn't until she moved to L.A. that she got her first recurring role on a TV show called "The Bill Engvall Show."  Even though Jennifer has never taken acting lessons or even drama classes, she is one of the most raved about actresses of today.  She has starred in blockbusters such as X-Men: First Class, House at the End of the Street, and Silver Linings Playbook, won numerous awards including two Golden Globes for best actress, an Oscar for best performance by an actress in a leading role, and a Critics' Choice Award for best actress in a comedy, and is starring in the upcoming movie-extravaganza The Hunger Games: Catching Fire that is set to hit theaters this November.

Jennifer is not only known for her beauty and acting skills, but she is also known for her humor and brains.  Jennifer graduated high school two years early with a 3.9 GPA and is a self-taught actress.  Jennifer has incredible motivation and focus, which are major attributes to her star-status today.  Not only does Jennifer rock the big screen, but she also is a jaw-dropper on the red carpet.  Her fashions are breathtaking while her interviews are always honest and amusing.  She has never hid the fact that she has curves, nor does she want to.  She has even said that she knows in Hollywood's eyes she is considered "obese," but to stay a good role model for her fans and maintain a healthy, normal weight, Jennifer does not want to achieve the scary, skeleton figure.  Not only loved for her star movie roles, Jennifer is applauded for staying true to herself while living in the spotlight.  Her fans have come to love the quirky, blunt, and vivacious Jennifer that she allows the public to see.  Whether she is acting as Katniss and kicking butt or working the red carpet in couture, Jennifer Lawrence is a beauty queen, inside and out.

Style Crush Saturday: Sarah Hyland

Style Crush:  Sarah Hyland
Known For:  Actress; Her role as Hayley Dunphy on Modern Family
Style:  Feminine, Glamorous, Chic

This week's Style Crush is Sarah Hyland.  Sarah Hyland is an American actress best known for her role on ABC's sitcom Modern Family as the character Hayley Dunphy.  Even at a young age, Sarah was never a stranger to the entertainment business.  Both her parents were actors/actresses, so it's in her blood.  Sarah was born and raised in Manhattan, New York, where she attended Professional Performing Arts School.  Sarah has been acting since she was a toddler, when she played the role of Howard Stern's daughter in the movie Private Parts.  Since then, Sarah has gone on to act in movies, such as Struck by Lightening with Glee's Chris Colfer, Scary Movie 5, and soon-to-be-released Vampires Academy: Blood Sisters.  In addition to movies, Sarah has acted in television shows, such as the award winning Modern Family and commercial campaigns for companies such as Nintendo.

Growing up in the Big Apple, Sarah's style is very sophisticated and refined.  A big reason for this being that her number one fashion icon was Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker's infamous character from the world renown show, Sex and the City. She felt drawn to the actress not only because they share the same first name and both live in NY, but that they both love fashion.  She jokes remembering back to how she wore high-heels to school everyday even though her school had four flights of stairs.  Talk about beauty is pain.  Lots of young actresses go through not-so-fabulous years, but Sarah always looked/looks glamorous.   Her lean, toned body, her thick, dark hair, and her perfect smile on top of her outfits is grade "A", movie-star status.  Sarah is always a jaw-dropper on the red carpet, whether it's her perfect, curled long locks, or a stunning one-of-a-kind dress, everyone is left breathless.
