My Style: Sequins & Stripes

Today's Look:  shows how bold stripes can make a statement for spring.  This appealing scoop neck, hi-low dress is an eye catcher from the Ashley Lane Company.  By adding an open-knit sweater, you can stay comfortably warm on a spring day.  A loose knit sweater is perfect for layering over a tank, cami, or dress.  This sweater has dropped shoulder seams, hi-low hem, and sequins.  Bonus: it's from one of my favorite boutiques in Flagstaff, Arizona, called The Basement Marketplace.  To add some edge, I styled the look with a black, wide-brimmed hat and black ankle boots.  As always, I hope you’re having a blast being creative and courageous with your styling.  I love this quote by Cushnie et Ochs:  “Life’s too short to wear boring clothing.”  Amen!  Xoxo, Shelly

Outfit Details:  Dress courtesy of Ashley Lane Company ❤ | Earrings courtesy of Charlotte Russe ❤ | Sweater by Miss Kelly 1999 from The Basement Marketplace | Boots by Mossimo Supply Co. from Target | Hat from oasap.com | Leaf Ring & Gold Bands from Forever 21 | Midi Ring from Earthbound Trading Company | Bedazzled Band from Premier Designs | Nails by Impress

Fashion Tip:  As mentioned above, a loose knit sweater is great for layering over dresses, tanks, and cami's and easily transforms an outfit!

I wore the outfit to a coffee spot where I met up with some friends.  Lately, I have enjoyed including photos of the places similar to where I wore the looks, to create a backdrop and mood.  Enjoy :)
